Annonciata Byukusenge is a Rwandan journalist specialising in environmental, climate change, and health reporting. She holds a degree in Journalism and Communication from the University of Rwanda and has extensive experience in investigative reporting. Annonciata has served as Chief Editor at rwandanews24.rw and previously at imirasire.com, and she is an active member of Rwanda Environmental Journalists (REJ). Her work has earned her multiple awards, including recognition for advancing sexual and reproductive health rights and biotechnology reporting. A fellow of prestigious programmes such as Women in News and the Pulitzer Center, she has reported on environmental issues across Africa, including forest conservation in the Congo Basin. Annonciata joined The Niles in 2024.
